You know GWB as one of the most competitive, high-level lacrosse clubs on the West Coast, known for our championship culture, high-class player development and being a top competitor at every tournament we go to.
But we didn’t start that way.
Before the wins, the trophies, and the travel, we were just a group of boys playing in one of the family's backyards - sticks in hand, having fun, getting better one rep at a time.
This is the heart of GWB and what this program is built on: the love of the game.
We believe one of the best parts about lacrosse is that if you love the game, it will love you back.
Anybody can be good at lacrosse if you put the time and effort in with your stick.
San Diego is an emerging lacrosse hub and we don't want to discourage anyone who wants to play at a higher level.
That’s why we have GWB Locals, a team built for players who are hungry to get better, compete, and be part of something bigger.
GWB Locals
Who this is for:
- For players who aren’t quite ready to spend every weekend traveling to tournaments and hours of practices a week— but have the drive, the attitude, and the work ethic to get there.
- This team is for kids who are:
🦬 Hungry to improve
🦬 Obsessed with their stick
🦬 Willing to show up and outwork the next guy
This isn’t a rec team.
It’s not for kids who want to "try it out."
It’s a developmental squad with a mission: to train, compete, and prepare.
GWB Locals is an opportunity for your son to get better, continuously be evaluated, play for a well-recognized club, and compete at solid tournaments.
If your son is passionate, coachable, and willing to put in the work, this is where his next chapter starts.
